Tragedy of the commas

It's back to reality for me, and the rest of the world perhaps, as I resume my classes after the holidays. We got down to business right away. Our discussion on rights, goods (a physical given), bodies, and the tragedy of the commons went into full swing, while I am still trying to shake off my hang over from the Christmas break and convince myself that I am here in Germany to study.

Several thousand cute little texts are still waiting to be read, yet it feels like there's not one groove left in my brain to accommodate a single comma.
