here is an on-going two-day conference on Climate Change as a Security Threat here in Freiburg. I especially attended to see Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who could be the next German Chancellor. It is also my first time to see the mayor of Freiburg, Lord Mayor Dr. Dieter Salomon. Dr. Pachauri, head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize also gave a presentation.
