Whirlwind weekend

A quick update:

My friend Dominique from the US, who was once in his lifetime a Pinoy, visited me for a quick European trip. I mean it when I said quick, as we covered Freiburg, Strasbourg, Bonn and Köln all in four days. I am living with a sweet host family in Hennef, about 25 kilometres from Bonn city proper. The house has a garden that opens to an open field and overlooks a mountain. It might be too quiet for some but I'm loving it.

I am now nestled on a Deutsche Welle desk in Bonn writing news clips. I started my internship yesterday with the English Department and will be in the 'newsroom' up to the end of October. Tomorrow I will attend a press conference in Köln.
