Rammed by Reming

Typhoon Reming (international codename, Durian), despite having changed its course away from Manila, still left serious collateral damage particularly in the province of Albay. PGMA has declared a state of national calamity yesterday.

I didn't expect that this wave of typhoon would be this destructive even if warnings declared that this would be stronger than Milenyo, which I thought had let us suffer the worst. Albay was the hardest hit by the disaster not only because of the typhoon, but due to the mudslide caused also by the pyroclastic materials that came from Mt. Mayon's recent eruption this year.

I celebrated another installment in life last Friday, while nearly a thousand would never find the opportunity to do so again.
